Description
Methan Mani is a clock tower in the south-western Indian state of Kerala. It is located near to the Padmanabha Swamy Temple in East Fort, Thiruvananthapuram. It is both a tourist destination and a historical landmark. It is visible if one stands in front of the temple entrance and faces the Padmatheertha Pond's other direction. Perched atop the Old Fort Palace. The bearded figure on top of the dial, who opens his mouth in response to two rams hitting his cheek every hour and making him shut his lips, is what makes this clock special. The hourly chimes are synchronized with this activity. The clock is impeccable and strikes the hour every day. The Methan Mani is still a well-known sight in the city, and people may hear its chimes all around. It's still functional, and the title Methan Mani might have come from the picture of a bearded man's face where two sheep collide every hour on the hour. Its technology is unknown, however it is thought to have been acquired from Madras. CDIT software is now running on it.
